We are looking for a passionate connector who can build strong relationships with diverse communities and turn those connections into actionable insights. These insights will help ING improve our processes and propositions, ensuring we stay relevant and responsive to the needs of society.

Purpose of the role

within ING Netherlands, in the ODCR (Operational Design, Control & Resilience) department, the Community Ambassadors account manager contributes to strengthening the social impact by setting up, expanding and coordinating an external network of community ambassadors. Through this network, relevant ING departments respond to external signals and perspectives, allowing internal processes and practices to be proactively adapted to prevent societal issues such as discrimination. This role also includes preparing and participating in meetings between ING's Executive Board and external stakeholders to ensure alignment between strategy, societal signals and internal follow-up.

This role is successful when there is a robust and diverse network of community ambassadors and actively involved. These ambassadors maintain regular contact with ING and its various departments, effectively bringing the experiences and perspectives of their constituents into the organisation. The programme is recognised and valued within ING as a meaningful platform for mutual learning and reflection. At the same time, it is also appreciated by the stakeholders and societal groups represented by the ambassadors, as it allows them to share their context, concerns and insights with ING in a meaningful way. This contributes to shared understanding, helps ING to operate within a clearly defined social context, ensures compliance with laws and regulations and prevents unnecessary internal overregulation.
