We are looking for a Salesforce Lead-to-Revenue Architect to join the Wolters Kluwer Global Business Services (GBS) organization. With a long-standing reputation for innovation and quality, Wolters Kluwer has been recognized as a Dutch Top Employer for six consecutive years and has earned recognition for its progress in gender equality. You will join our Global Business Services (GBS) organization, headquartered in Alphen aan den Rijn, working in an international, dynamic and collaborative environment. About the role As the Salesforce Lead‑to‑Revenue Architect, you will play a key role in Wolters Kluwer’s enterprise-wide transformation of revenue operations. You will support the rollout of the STEP platform and ensure alignment with the strategic standards set by the Evolve program. You will design scalable, compliant and integrated solutions spanning the full revenue lifecycle—from lead to cash—across Salesforce, SAP and other enterprise systems. You will report to the Director of Enterprise Software Engineering and collaborate extensively with teams in Finance, IT, Sales, Customer Success and our SAP ERP teams. What you will be doing Architecting and integrating revenue platforms: Lead the design and ongoing development of Salesforce CPQ and Revenue Cloud for Europe, ensuring seamless integration with SAP STEP. Architect Lead‑to‑Revenue platforms aligned with STEP and Evolve standards, focusing on harmonized billing, renewals, entitlements and revenue recognition. Lead Salesforce–SAP S/4HANA integrations for real-time contract synchronization, account creation and automated billing processes. Collaboration and process harmonization: Work closely with the Evolve team to implement standardized revenue operations processes across business units. Support the European rollout of STEP, including ERP consolidation, Central Finance enablement and the migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. Data, analytics and compliance: Define data models, APIs and event schemas enabling real-time revenue analytics, forecasting and performance dashboards. Embed auditability, traceability and compliance with revenue recognition standards (e.g., IFRS 15, ASC 606). Governance and technical leadership: Establish architectural standards ensuring scalability, security and maintainability across Europe. Provide architectural guidance to GBS teams regarding financial system integration, data governance/MDM and compliance. Oversee high‑quality technical deliverables in close collaboration with Salesforce developers. Maintain comprehensive documentation: architecture diagrams, integration maps, compliance workflows and operational playbooks. Act as a strategic advisor to Finance, Legal and Customer Success teams, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Your profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance Technology or a related field. 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or solution design within revenue operations, financial systems or ERP transformation. Proven expertise as a Salesforce Revenue Cloud Architect, including CPQ, Subscription Management, Order Management and Revenue Recognition. Multi-year experience with SAP ERP (ECC and S/4HANA). Deep understanding of the Lead‑to‑Revenue lifecycle across contract management, entitlements, billing, collections and revenue recognition. Experience designing multi-entity, multi-currency solutions with EU-specific requirements (e.g., VAT, SEPA, e-invoicing/Peppol, GDPR). Strong proficiency in API design, data modelling, event-driven architecture and middleware. Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional architecture initiatives. Experience with architectural governance and operational playbooks for financial systems. What makes this role interesting?
