Senior AI Engineer

<p>As a <strong>Senior AI Engineer</strong>, you will take end-to-end responsibility for complex AI initiatives from scoping to production delivery. You combine deep expertise in AI with strong software engineering fundamentals to ensure the solutions we deliver are robust, scalable, secure, and built following best-in-class engineering practices. You will shape technical approaches, mentor other team members, and contribute to raising the engineering bar within Proximus Ada. </p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the design and delivery of complex AI solutions using state-of-the-art (Gen)AI technology, ensuring high standards of scalability, robustness, security, and maintainability. </li>
<li>Translate customer requests into fit-for-purpose AI solution architectures aligned with customer needs.  </li>
<li>Quickly build prototypes to demonstrate customer value. </li>
<li>Transform prototypes into production-grade solutions to obtain reliable, scalable systems. </li>
<li>Present your results in a clear manner and discuss them with multi-functional project teams. </li>
<li>Work in close collaboration with business experts (e.g. for requirement gathering, data source identification, data and process understanding, feature engineering, result validation, etc.), and with other AI engineers in the team (e.g. for knowledge sharing). </li>
<li>Mentor and guide team members, promote engineering excellence, and contribute to knowledge‑sharing and continuous improvement across Ada. </li>
</ul><br/><p><strong> </strong><strong>Profile</strong><strong> </strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>PhD or Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. </li>
<li>5+ years of proven experience delivering AI/ML solutions in production.  </li>
<li>Demonstrated experience owning complex technical solutions from concept to production deployment. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Technical skills</strong><strong> </strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Strong expertise in Python. </li>
<li>Strong understanding of state-of-the-art AI/ML methods. </li>
<li>Experience using LLM’s and commonly used libraries to interact with LLM’s (Langchain, Llamaindex, ...) </li>
<li>Proven proficiency<strong> </strong>with deploying scalable AI applications to production. </li>
<li>Hands‑on experience with Azure Cloud, Azure Data & AI services. </li>
<li>Advanced experience with: </li>
<li>Version control (Git, GitHub) </li>
<li>CI/CD pipelines </li>
<li>Microservices and API design </li>
<li>MLOps frameworks (MLflow, Kubeflow, TFX) </li>
<li>Experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI) is a strong plus. </li>
<li>Knowledge of modern software architecture patterns (event‑driven systems, microservices, distributed computing). </li>
