<h3>Job Title</h3>Legal Counsel<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>In this role, you have the opportunity to be part of Philips Legal which spans a global network of around 250 professionals operating as one coordinated, internal law firm for Philips' businesses worldwide counselling on all legal matters. You are responsible for offering legal advice to internal clients of the Corporate & Financial law team on the full scope of their activities, such as the management of associated companies, advising on Dutch corporate law matters and supporting the treasury department regarding various financing initiatives and cash management under guidance and with support of other (senior) legal counsels.</p><p></p><p><b><span>In Your role you will be:</span></b></p><p></p><ul><li>Drafting and negotiating simple and straightforward contracts.</li><li>Advising internal clients on various legal and business aspects (with an emphasis on Dutch corporate law).</li><li>Handling dispute resolution matters, including advice on course of action and any contractual and statutory requirements.</li><li>Proactively identifying risks and ensuring mitigation and/or prevention of such risks.</li><li>Assisting and supporting senior legal counsels within the team on complex/ high risk projects.</li><li>Carrying out legal research and drafting memos on findings to legal colleagues.<br /> </li></ul><p><b>You're the right fit if you have:</b><br /> </p><ul><li>A Master's Degree in law and a minimum of 3 years of corporate law experience (work experience in a law firm is an advantage).</li><li>Experience in providing successful commercial and transactional support (including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts as well as legal and general support).</li><li>Good business acumen and the ability to connect with people and other disciplines in multi-disciplinary teams.</li><li>Excellent drafting and communication skills in English (minimum C1 level).</li><li>Excellent drafting and communication skills in Dutch (close to native speaker level).</li><li>Excellent drafting and communication skills in Dutch, at a level comparable to a near-native speaker.</li><li>The ability to deal with a high workload and a ‘can do’ mentality.</li><li>A desire to work as ‘one of the team’ and as a team player.</li></ul><p><br /><b><span>About Philips</span></b><br /> </p><p>We are a health technology company.
