We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.</p><br><br><p class="job-description-header">What You'll Do</p><p> </p><p>As Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the seamless organization of our training offer for Associates, Senior Associates and Consultants (A-Cs) and our Business Services Teams (BST) across London, Amsterdam and Brussels (LAB). Ensuring that our people have the best possible skills is business critical and our ambition is to provide high quality learning content for all our staff. The role is line manager to two L&D specialists in London and you will report into the LAB L&D Senior Manager. Please note this is a 9-month FTC maternity cover position.</p><p> </p><ul><li>Business partner for our AC and BST staff<ul><li>Partner with Career Development team to understand A-C development needs & skills gaps for the cohorts and for specific individuals</li><li>Partner with HR, Talent team and line managers to understand and fill any gaps in skills required to serve the business, whether at cohort, function or individual level</li><li>Partner with EMESA and Global L&D teams</li><li>Co-shape EMESA or global initiatives to ensure LAB knowledge, best practices and needs are taken into account.</li><li>Support roll-out of regional/global initiatives and campaigns, driving content development or pilots where required</li><li>Project management</li><li>Oversee successful implementation, execution & administration of the mandatory and optional training offer for BST and A-C staff</li><li>Drive projects at LAB, EMESA and Global level in line with strategy and business goals</li><li>Lead change efforts to revamp curriculum, delivery and communication<br><br></li></ul></li><li>Build and develop the LAB L&D trainer team<ul><li>Attract & motivate new trainers to join our L&D trainer team</li><li>Ensure appropriate onboarding and development of L&D trainers, building a pipeline into regional & global L&D faculty where required</li><li>Develop relationships with training agencies & vendors</li><li>Serve as part of the L&D faculty</li><li>Deliver local/system and/or regional/global trainings</li><li>Upskill and coach new L&D trainers</li></ul></li><li>Responsible for managing L&D Specialist across our three offices<ul><li>Manage and support the team members in each office to execute their day-to-day tasks</li><li>Oversee their professional development and provide apprenticeship</li><li>Create an encouraging, supporting and stimulating work environment</li><li>Support the other L&D Managers during sickness and holidays</li></ul></li></ul><p>This list of responsibilities should not be construed to imply that these duties, responsibilities, and requirements are the sole standards for this position. Upon their manager’s request, incumbents may be required to perform other related duties.</p><p> </p><p><strong>You are good at</strong></p><ul><li>Understanding of the consulting business, and the nature of work we do with clients</li><li>Proficiency in all standard software used at BCG (Excel, PowerPoint, Word…)</li><li>Experience with LMS software (e.g. SABA)</li><li>A ‘can do’ and flexible attitude, creative problem-solving skills and tenacity to find solutions</li><li>Strong communication and facilitation skills</li><li>Patience and sensitivity to listen to and deal with complex issues</li><li>Self-motivated, works independently and takes initiative</li><li>Well organized, with strong ability to plan ahead and manage large number of initiatives in parallel</li><li>Working effectively under narrow time limitations or produce accurate results</li><li>High degree of integrity</li><li>Excellent project management skills to ensure timely closure of activities</li><li>Clarity, tact and professionalism in communications</li><li>Experience in managing key stakeholder relationships, including interactions with Senior Management</li><li>Being able to give honest and open feedback in a timely manner</li></ul><p> </p><br><br><p class="job-description-header">What You'll Bring</p><ul><li>6+ years’ experience in Learning & Development</li><li>University advanced degree</li><li>Experience leading and managing a team</li><li>Experience in training or coaching within a professional services / consultancy environment</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Strong organisational skills, orientation to detail and proactivity</li><li>Excellent English skills (verbal and written communication)</li></ul><br><br><p class="job-description-header">Who You'll Work With</p><ul><li>The L&D Senior Director, L&D EMESA managers, People Senior Director, L&D Partner, Senior consulting team, Senior L&D manager and L&D manager</li><li>Multiple stakeholders, both from Consulting Teams (CT) and from Business Services Teams (BST), from your system and from regional/global level.</li></ul><br><br><p>Boston Consulting Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
