Over Olga

I am a PhD historian of modern Europe, specialising in economic, corporate and industrial history. My doctoral research examined the history of Soviet-owned enterprises in post-war Austria (USIA, 1945–1955), for instance, AEG, PORR, Siemens, Dr. Oetker, Waagner-Biro, etc. I combined extensive archival research with the study of business organisation, ownership, economic governance and institutional change. I work extensively with historical documents, photographs, maps, oral testimonies and other archival materials, and I have experience turning complex historical evidence into clear and engaging narratives. Alongside academic research, I have experience in museums, public history, exhibitions and communicating historical research to broader audiences. I am particularly interested in corporate history as a way of understanding how organisations develop their identity, culture and institutional practices over time.
