I’m a senior software engineer and technical lead with 15+ years of experience building, maintaining, and modernizing production software systems. I primarily take on hands-on backend and full-stack assignments in Ruby on Rails, especially for mature applications that need modernization, framework upgrades, performance improvements, production debugging, API development, database work, or new product capabilities. I enjoy working on established systems where changes need to be introduced carefully without disrupting existing users or ongoing product development. My core stack is Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL, REST and GraphQL APIs, RSpec, Docker, AWS, and CI/CD. I also have production experience with Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, React and Vue. I've worked across fintech, B2B SaaS, consumer products, real-time applications, and regulated financial services, both as an individual contributor and as a technical lead. What I enjoy most is understanding how an existing system really works, finding the source of difficult technical problems, and improving it incrementally. I'm particularly happy working on Rails modernization, database and performance problems, production reliability, and technically challenging backend work.
