Over Anda

Anda Vișan is an environmental engineer working at the intersection of environmental impact, technology, and business strategy. Her path started at Wageningen University (ranked no. 2 in Environmental Sciences by QS), where she graduated Cum Laude in the top 10% of her class and was awarded the Roland Berger Prize for Best Bachelor Thesis in Circular Economy for her research on bio-pigment production as a sustainable alternative to synthetic textile dyes. She carried that systems-thinking mindset into her career in sustainability consulting, where she spent three years working with more than 40 companies across Europe. She developed carbon footprinting and climate risk methodologies, worked across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and life-cycle assessment, and led CSRD/ESRS and double materiality projects for some of Romania's largest listed companies in oil & gas, energy, healthcare, and aluminium production. Anda co-developed one of Romania's first double materiality assessment platforms, integrating more than one million environmental data points and cutting assessment time in half. She later worked on automating carbon-footprint and life-cycle assessment processes across more than 10,000 food products for major Italian retailers. Along the way, she trained more than 20 teams of professionals across sustainability, procurement, and risk functions and learned firsthand how environmental data feeds into decision-making. For Anda, sustainability sits where environmental impact and risk meet business resilience, technology, and long-term decision-making. How can companies turn fragmented environmental data into something they can actually act on? How can digitalisation make sustainability scalable? How can organisations prepare for climate and regulatory change while creating new opportunities rather than simply managing risk?
